Canada's number one news program, now mobile & hyperlocal.
Created a cleaner, simpler design that features more news content. The design allowed users to easily find their favourite local and national newscasts, latest breaking news and a large library of on-demand videos content.

Overview
As a Senior Designer at Digiflare, I was assigned Bell Media as a client which included the CTV News app. I would attend weekly meetings and present current progress or updates. Presented to key stakeholders and facilitated the sign off at each stage of the design process.
Project Approach
Performed market research and competitors analysis, finding that there were many similar offerings that provide the same functionality, but lacking the local content. The main goal was to create a positive user-centric experience by allowing users to easily find news; organized into categories, not only at the national level but also for cities across Canada.
Conception & Wireframes
Created design stories to capture the functionality of the product; detailing descriptions of what the user could perform and how to perform the task. This helped when thinking through design decisions, concepts and wireframes, as well as, helped me to visualize myself as a user to determine what would be most useful.
Visual Design
The visual design helps to shape the product, my goal was to create a minimal design that highlighted the content; also, to take advantage of the gap in content that competitors were lacking. The overall user experience is improved after many versions by constant communication and gathering feedback until the final design was determined.
